With four growing kids, I feel like I am “cooking for a crowd” at every meal. All jokes aside, this breakfast pizza recipe really is great for a crowd and has become a favorite to serve at holiday gatherings.

When I’m serving several people at once I want something that makes a lot and is ready at the same time (unlike my usual go-to pancakes or waffles which are cooked in batches).

What’s in Breakfast Pizza?

This breakfast pizza recipe starts with a store-bought pizza dough and can be easily customized from there. Sometimes we add a Mexican blend of cheeses to the mozzarella, and we are always switching up the toppings. Add a variety of meats, throw on some jalapeños or bell peppers, or top with arugula and you’re sure to find something for everyone!

Here is what I recommend:

  • Store-bought pizza dough
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Eggs
  • Breakfast sausage
  • Bacon
  • Ham
  • Basil, parsley, green onions, chives, or other herbs for garnish
  • You can add any preferred topping

How to Make Breakfast Pizza

The important thing to remember when making this breakfast pizza recipe is that you will need to bake it “twice.” For the first 8-10 minutes to firm up the crust, and then for another 8-10 minutes until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted.

You don’t want to just bake everything for 20 minutes at once, because you might end up with soggy crust and tough eggs.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and lightly spray pizza pan or baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Form pizza dough into pan using your hands, and brush it with olive oil.
  3. Cook and drain sausage and bacon, and chop the ham into small pieces.
  4. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese, and sausage, bacon, ham, and add another layer of cheese. Leave room for the eggs.
  5. Bake in 425 degrees F oven for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and carefully crack an egg onto the pizza, then return the pizza to oven and continue cooking for 8-10 more minutes or until eggs are set and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve immediately and store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

Tips for Making Breakfast Pizza

  • Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat just pop it in the microwave or oven until it is reheated to perfection.
  • Pizza freezes great. Place it in a plastic bag or airtight container, and it can be stored for up to 1-2 months.
  • Cook the bacon in air fryer to make this recipe even easier.
