Use ready-to-bake refrigerated cookie dough + sprinkles to make these patriotic sugar cookies.

  • 1 package Pillsbury Ready To Bake Sugar Cookies
  • 4 oz white chocolate or candy melts
  • Red and blue sugar crystal sprinkles


  • Bake the Pillsbury Ready To Bake Sugar Cookies as directed.
  • Allow the cookies to cool completely, and carefully use a star cookie cutter to press out the center of each cookie.
  • Place the cookies on a small cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave and spoon into a plastic bag.
  • Cut off the tip of the bag and slowly flood the inside star of each cookie.
  • Immediately cover with sprinkles.
  • Place in the refrigerator to set.
  • Once fully set, gently shake off any excess sprinkles.


I cooked the cookies to the full baking time. I melted my candy melts 30 seconds full power, stir, 30 seconds half power, stir. Tip for filling the stars: start at the edges and work your way in.
