Southwest Chili Mac

Taste the southwest with this chili inspired mac and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef until fully cooked. Drain if necessary.
  • Add the spices to the meat and stir well.
  • Add the tomatoes and bring to a slight boil.
  • Add the macaroni; mix well.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, until noodles are tender.
  • Stir in 1 cup of cheese, and top with remaining cheese.
  • Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
