Moving is like childbirth, somehow after it’s all said and done you forget all of the gory details. This is my 8th (give or take) move as an adult, and yet I still forget all of the little things that go into it- especially when it comes to updating your address! Notifying the post office was the easy part, changing my bank information, tax information, voting registration, auto registration, health insurance, auto insurance, magazine subscriptions, etc… etc… etc is where the real work is. And of course, there’s notifying our friends and family of our new address as well!
At least letting our family and friends know we’ve moved is the fun part. I partnered with Walmart Photo to create these “We’ve Moved” announcements using Walmart’s Photo Greeting Cards. They offer cards for just about every occasion you can think of- birthday, thank you, wedding, baptism, and more. With 3,500 Walmart Photo locations nationwide ordering is simple (or you can always order online here). Our tiny town barely has a single corner grocery store, but the next city over has a Walmart and I shop there at least once a week.
The already pre-made design with the little blue house and red door was exactly what I was looking for. It matches our little blue house, complete with a red door, perfectly! (Still working on the picket fence though, apparently, according to my husband, that isn’t economical with four acres. Ha!) At only $10 for 25 4×8 flat single-sided cards (with envelopes!) I couldn’t be happier with our new address announcements.
When I was ordering my photo cards online I also noticed all of the other cute photo gifts available at Walmart: photo books, canvases, stationery, and so much more. We are having our family photos taken at the end of the month and I can’t wait to finally order a large canvas print of all of us to hang in our new home. Many of the gifts are available for free same-day pick-up in store, meaning I can order online and pickup later that day when I go shop for groceries. Great for last minute shopping + gifting!
Walmart.com also makes it so easy to order as you can easily transfer images from Facebook, Instagram, or other storage options. Every few months I like to print all of my recent Instagram photos and grab a few extra copies to send to grandparents.
