These Pumpkin Spice Pecan Twists are full of pumpkin pie flavor, brown sugar, and crunchy pecans. A delicious breakfast or dessert treat. This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pillsbury. The opinions and text are all mine. #ItsBakingSeason
James and I have been busy completing projects at our new home, Farmette 825– even more so now that my ‘She Shed’ was recently delivered! So far, it feels like with every.single.project we have hit a snag and or some kind of issue. Most recently: adding a reclaimed wood accent wall to our bedroom.
We discovered that we needed to first paint the wall a dark color (to help with any gaps between the wood planks), so James made a trip to his Dad’s (one town over) to borrow a nail gun and stopped at the local (tiny) hardware store for paint on his way home. Afraid to pick a color without my approval, he came home and stayed with the kids so I could go purchase the paint. After finally selecting a color, the hardware store owner tells me that he is out of one tube of dye he needs to make the paint… and that the truck won’t be by for a few hours.
So I make the drive to the next town over (where James was earlier) and buy paint. Except, they don’t have the same color (can’t even find it in their system) even though it was the same brand of paint. Defeated, I picked a new color and am on my (quickly diminishing) merry way. Get home, paint the wall, bada bing bada boom, we are ready to go with the planks.
Rocking and rolling with about three rows up before the nail gun blows a (completely necessary for operation) seal and all production comes to a screeching halt. The local hardware store closed at 5pm… the one town over hardware store closed at 6pm… the next closest big box hardware store is over an hour away. Totally defeated and frustrated, we move all of our furniture back so that we can go to bed.
Times like this when everything else seems to not want to go my way, I turn to baking. Specifically: baking old favorites or easy recipes that I know I can depend on to come out the way I want them to every.single.time. That’s what these Pumpkin Spice Pecan Twists do for me, thanks to my trusty can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. Much like my Easy Cinnamon Twists, these take no time at all and are a hit with everyone.
Available at Walmart in a convenient two-pack, the always consistent and delicious Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are perfect for sweet or savory recipes. Stock up now before the holidays and try some of my favorite recipes using crescent rolls:
