I’ve partnered with Nebraska Furniture Mart for this post. All thoughts, opinions, and love for chocolate are my own. #GalleryOfSweets
It’s funny how holidays change once you have kids. Valentine’s Day is no longer about romantic gestures and reservations at a fancy restaurant, but instead is spent decorating boxes with hearts and glitter and addressing cards for all of their friends and classmates. I never could have guessed how much joy I would get from experiencing the holidays through their eyes.
Luckily, James and I are on the same page that gifts are not high on the list for either of our love languages. Even when we do get each other gifts they are usually more practical than romantic. Like when I got a new life-changing dishwasher for my birthday and he got an expensive new vacuum cleaner for Christmas- HA! Some people find it hard to believe that I would rather have him take out the trash than buy me diamonds, but acts of service are definitely what fill my love tank. Not worrying about finding the perfect gift takes some of the pressure off of the holiday, but I still like to do a little something special for my man.
So when Nebraska Furniture Mart challenged me to create a recipe with a surprise box of chocolate goodies from See’s Candy- I knew I wanted to make something sweet for my Valentine. James isn’t crazy about dessert, but he loves candy. I decided to make him these cute little Heart-Shaped Dark Chocolate Covered Peanuts and they couldn’t have been easier!
Right now there is a promotion going on at Nebraska Furniture Mart from February 3 -16, 2016 where you will receive a complimentary box of See’s Chocolates with any Frigidaire Gallery purchase. During this time, NFM will also be offering 36-month financing on Frigidaire Gallery purchases and all Frigidaire Gallery products will be on sale. Tucked inside each NFM store is their sister company See’s Candy ready to satisfy your sweet tooth while you get your shop on.
